News winter 2007

05.12.07. Preparation for the next season is already underway. In Sweden Vignir and Johanna have started Ljomi and Hugur. Training is
to be continued in January next year. In Iceland Elli and Vidja has started Garun, Platina and Thula and all went well. They are back in
the fields at Hamarsey until training starts in January. Hannes has started training of Selma and Gasella and Elli has just started training
Sara, in the beginning by hand. And north in Iceland Sandra has started training Vakning (see below). In addition Gnipa, Hrund and Fasta are
pregnant with respective Stali, Krakur and Sær. So exciting times ahead.

25.10.07. Trip to Iceland to visit my horses in the south and east. First looking at tree 3 year olds being started at Langholt;

10.10.07. One  of my favorite stallions outside Iceland is Isar fra Keldudal, owned by my good breeding friends
Birgitta and Rune Ibert. The combination of Isar and a talented mare out of one of my absolute favorite stallions
on Iceland Stigur fra Kjartanstadir (father of Odur and Adam amongst other great horses and with 5 very correct gaits)
was to har to resist. I therefore bought the three month old beautiful Isadora fra Karlsro after Isar and 1 prize Stigur
daugther Sunna fra Blikastodum. The youngster seems to be well built, strong and well raised with good neck and with
great movements. Thanks to Anna-Lena and Thorvald for trusting me to buy this beautiful young mare. I will take good
care of her, and hopefully she will become one of my breeding mares in the future.....

09.10.07. The three years olds Pula fra Nedra Seli and Garun fra Saudakroki are brought to Elli and
Vidja at Langholt to be started. Then a brak until they will be put into training in January next year with
the intention of qualifying them for Landsmot next year if all goes well-but its a long way there and we also need
quite a bit of good fortune to reach this ambitious goal.

Platina fra Holtsmula also a three yrs old Orri daugther and bred by Siggi and Lisbeth, will join them
this coming week. They all three have strong pedigrees with lots of talent behind them so it will be very interesting
to follow them-and eventually see which one is most talented.....

10.09.07. Gnipa did not come through for us this time. The weather was bad and all energi was gone. Her scores were 7.94 for
conformation and 7.47 for riding, total 7.66. She expects a foal after Stali next summer and we then plan  to show her again
spring 2009.

03.09.07: Daniel was not able to improve Gasellas score on the overview and she ended up with 8.06 total (8.03 conformation
and 8.08 riding skills). Even though we do think Gasella can do much better, she received 1 prize and we put her into breeding.
It begins to be late to become  pregnant but we take her directly to the four gaited Orri son Sveinn- Hervar and hope for the best.
