Spring 2009 Vignir also showed us Isar fra Keldudal that he will compete on this year (5 gaits) and Berserkur, Swedish champion on 4 gaits and tölt, also an amazing horse!!
IsarIsar
Spring 2009 Then we went to Vignirs new farm. He showed us my Visa fra Sundsberg (blup 124) after Isar and Birgitta beautiful 1 prize mare Vaka fra Österåker (e Møkkur and Von) that came 4'th in last WC. This was the highlight of my trip. To see a 3 yrs old horse with such loose but at
the same time powerful movements and in perfect form and so expressive was a treat. Of coarse it takes a great rider to bring out such movements in a newly started horse-it looks so easy but we all know its not. In fact there are only a handful of riders and trainers that are capable of this. So I am very grateful that Vignir has agreed to take on my precious youngster that we aim at showing already this coming summer at age of 4. Visa reminds me of our 3 yrs old Hatid fra Saudakrokir (e Hvita Sunna and Hrodur) now in training at Langholt by Elli and Vidja-also such a natural talent with great loose movements and correct form already from the beginning... Both five gaiters with plenty of pace...Perhaps reminding us that some of our best tölters come out of true five gaiters...

Spring 2009 Gullinn fra Smedjan after the beutiful and very talented 1 prize mare Gullborg fra Smedjan and Dökkvi fra Mosefelli-a youg horse from whow I expect a lot-one of the most complete pedigrees I have ever seen on ahorse-to be started by Johanna and Vignir in January 2011 and will most
likely be 4 gaited.

Isadora fra Karlsro looks big and strong and also comes with a very interesting pedigree-a combination of a 1 prize Stigur daugther and Isar should give something special. Both these stallions are supreme 5 gaiters with both speed and well separated gaits. To be started by Johanna and Vignir in January 2011.

Great company in some of the best breeders and trainers in Sweden, Maggan (owner of Von fra Vindheimum ++), Birgitta (owner of Isar fra Keldudal +++) and Vignir that should need no presentation.

Spring 2009 Visit to my breeding friends in Stockholm March 09. First I went out to see Birgitta (Ibert) and Runes new farm. What a great place to keep horses with fields all around the farm being placed on a hill in the centre. Several pregnant mares including our Isar daugther Vaka fra Rip
carrying a foal after Krakur fra Blesastadir. Then we went to Edeby gård where Johanna showed us several horses in training, including my beautiful Orri daugther Katla fra Holtsmula. Although in mids of loosing their winter fern my two youngsters, Gullinn and Isadora looked good.

Spring 2009 Ljomi in march
Spring 2009 Hatid fra Saudakroki is in training by Elli and VIdja at langholt and doing good. She is only 4 yrs and will be shown already this spring/summer. She is after Landsmotwinner Hvita Sunna fra Saudakroki  and Sleipnir cup winner Hrodur fra Refsstödum so she comes with a very
strong and interesting pedigree as well (blup 123).

Spring 2009 Our precious mare Gnipa fra Holum, currently in training by Thordur ar Aukreri is developing well. She is under Landsmotwinners Thula fra Holum and Nagali fra Thufu.

Spring 2009 Linda fra Feti is developing well by Vidja and Elli at Langholt. Elli is invited to show her together with Sveinn-Hervar's best offspring.

230309 Linda is in training at Langholt by Elli and Vidja together with our Palmino daugther of the Landsmotwinners Hvita-Sunna and Hrodur. Both horses are developing well and show great natural talent. Breeding wise
Linda fra Feti is particularly interesting. She is daughter of an inbred   mare with a rather mediocre conformation (7.48);  but an exceptional riding score only 4 yrs old (8.24)!
> Tölt 8.5
> Trot 8
> Pace 7.5
> Gallop 8.5
> Temperament 8.5
> Character 8.5
> General impression 8
> Rideability 8.24

Her name is Filipa fra Feti ( IS1995286919) and she is after the well known Ofeigur son:  Hrannar frá Kýrholti IS1988158436) and the 1 prize Ofeigur daugther  Ófelía frá Gerðum (IS1987284600)

Father, the Orri son  Sven Hervar was a good choice known to bring on a strong confirmation, lots of mane and tail and particularly strong trot -a gait often forgotten in Icelandic horse breeding! And we know the
combination of Ofeigur and Orri works particularly well!

We look forward to follow the training of Hatid fra Saudakroki and Linda fra Feti and expect a lot from both. I hope to see them being showed in beginning of June when I will visit Iceland together with my breeding
friend Ivar Lindstad at Torstad. Pictures show Hatid as foal with Hvita Sunna, Hatid 1 yrs old and Vidja and Hatid (3 yrs) in November 08 and Elli riding Linda a week ago.

060309 Inga and Sara did great in the womens ice tölt event in Reykjavik sentrum last Saturday-Congratulation to both of them!. Earlier on the day Hannes came second in Tölt with Hatign fra Ragnheidarstadir (on our sailing list see: www.hamarsey.is) and fifth with our Vakning at 100 m pflying pace (9.24 sec not bad in February...)

060309 Gnipa, our big, black and beautiful mare descending from Landsmotwinners   on both sides: Nagli Þúfu, 1pr, 8.44 (8.39, 8.46, 4-g) and Þula fra Hólum, Hpr., 8.46 (8.11, 8.69) is now in training again after having given birth to a marefoal Gnott fra Hamarsey after Landsmotwinner Stali fra Kjarri. A very interesting marefoal with exceptional movements (see picture)! Thordur is training Gnipa that has big, roomy movements but still lacks some strength to follow it through.

010309 Our 3 yrs old palmino Hrodur daugther Hatid fra Saudakroki under Landsmot winner Hvita Sunna is in training at Langholt by Elli and Vidja. She is one of these rare very special talents that show up once in a while. We all know that strong pedigree is no guarantee to get a good offspring-but it helps....Some horses are just very special all from the beginning with;  easy, roomy and big movements, good balance and head carriage, positive willingness, curagous and eager to learn and please and we put Hatid in the same category as Alfur -just a natural born talent that comes only too seldom....She will probably be ready to be shown already this spring/summer 4 yrs old and then some rest until more training aiming at Landsmot 2010, 5 yrs class.

010309 Sara fra Saudakroki and Inga are a great match and keep winning competitions on Iceland. This very talented and beautiful (9 for head, 8.5 for neck, 8.32 for confirmation, 8.25 total) Hrodur daugther of ours
will keep on competing this year aiming at Elli presenting her again at Landsmot 2010, before we put her into breeding. we are very eager to do so of coarse with such a mare -but at the the same time we should be
patient and let her bring forward her full potential....Meanwhile we wish Inga and Sara the best of luck in coming competitions.

010309 Our beautiful and very talented Sven Hervar daugther Linda fra Feti is in training at Langholt by Erlingur. She has big movements and lots of speed in gaits with tölt and trot equally strong. Elli will show her
this coming spring and we will probably train her further towards Landsmot 2010 before we put her into breeding, depending on her development and potential. Mother is an inbred on Ofeigur and breeding
wise this is a very interesting horse as we know the combination of Orri (Sven Hervar is one of the famous Orri sons) and Ofeigur work particularely well. I will visit Iceland in beginning of June and take
more pictures of Linda.

010309 Our beautiful young orri daugther S2004281110 - Þula fra Neðra-Seli Chesnut (1500), (eeaassC-ddF-), BLUP 118 has been in training by Daniel Jonsson, Gunnar will take over to strengthen tölt and trot until beginning of may when Daniel take over again and shows her. Thula has a 50% chance of silver dapple gene and also comes with a very strong pedigree-mother Thruma is a great silver dapple 1 prize mare (8.11 total) and her grandfather is the famous Stigur fra Kjartanstadir-one of my favorite stallions -with five corect gaits and also lots of speed i gaits that he brings on to his offspring (Odur being one good example).

010309 Our Orri daugther Platina is now in training by Jakob Sigurðsson, receiving the Landsmot riders award from the HorseTrainersAssociation at Hella 2008. Jaciob is one  of the best riders and trainers on Iceland and I look forward to learn how Platina develops under him. Hannes took care of the first part of the training and her is a picture of the two of them in January this year. Platina has a very rare colour (GLÓBRÚNN VINDÓTT) with a very strong pedigree and high movements and big steps so we expect a lot from her and hopefully she will become a strong addition to our collection of breeding mares.
