Julia’s father Auður is one of the most talented young 4 gaited stallions on Iceland. His mother Auðna has produced one great stallion after another (first Auður (8.46), then Arður (8.34) and last but not least Asi scoring amazing 8.41 as 4 yrs old as a four gaiter! So this is definitely an extraordinary breeding mare. Behind her you find an unjudged stallion Stjarni, son of the famous Páttur frá Kirkjubæ, and unjudged mother  Brúnka, daugther of legendary Gustur frá Sauðárkróki-so quality behind every good horse is you just take the time to study the pedigree closely. 

Julia’s mother the Ani daugther Hviða is still hold as the horse with the highest action (leg lift) on Iceland. This is partly from her mother Gola and grandfather Ofeigur, famous his leg action.  Hviða turns out to become a very strong breeding mare and her many 9’s from her judgement in 98 seems to be brought on to her offspring. We have been fortunate enough to use Hviða  on several occations, exchanging breeding mare with our Austrian friends to bring in some diversity into our breeding. We look forward to follow Julia that is likely to become a 4 gaiter.
