Gullinn is very talented breeding prospect out 1 prize Odur daugther and one of the most promising stallions outside Iceland Dökkvi frá Mosfelli, scoring 9.5 for tölt , slow tölt, gallopp and general impression and 9 for trot, spirit, canter and hooves, one of the highest scoring 4 gaiters ever. And this riding talent comes for a reason, his mother the beautiful black Hravn daugther Dimma frá Gunnarsholti was double Landsmotwinner in tölt and 4 gait and his father is Orri that need no more presentation.

But Gullinn’s mother’s side is equally strong and thus leaves Gullinn with the strongest pedigree of all my horses. Vignir showed the very talented mother Gullborg, reaching 1 prize as 4 gaiter with little training. Her father Odur is together with his father Stigur the two horses in Iceland with the best gaits; 5 equally strong gaits with good rhytm and lots of speed in gaits. So Odur combined with the famous Orri daugther Gnott fra Dallandi scoring 8.25 at Landsmot in 98 with this wonderful neck (9) and  9.5 for general impression.

Gullinn is somwhat inbred on Orri so it will be interesting to see how strongly she brings his many special qualities on to her offspring. I bought Gullinn as a 1 yrs and she was very well built at the time with a high set good neck, very well raised, good front leg action and with a very strong back step-moving around with lots of speed and vigour. Gullinn is well taken care of at Herresta by Johanna Elgholm and will be started by Vignir next winter (2010). She will most likely become a 4 gaited mare and hopefully will complete my core of first class breeding mares in Sweden/Norway.
