Fasta fra Hofi is a beautiful liver red daugther of the famous stallion Númi fra Ţóroddsstöđum. She received 1. prize six year old in 2004 and improved her marks the year after obtaining a good 1. prize: total 8.16 with 8.35 for composition and 8.03 for riding abilities. Fasta is tall and well raised, with a particularly beautiful face and long, slim neck and even scored 9 for legs. She is a five-gaiter and also received 1. prize for her riding abilities. Fasta has already given birth to two offspring, a beautiful black pinto four year old daughter after Gammur fra Steinnesi that seems very talented with high action and big movements. The second offspring is a beautiful and proud daughter after the famous stallion Orri fra Ţúfu . Fasta's father is the stallion Númi fra Ţóroddsstöđum that received the highest score ever obtained for a stallion in 2005 and won the World Championship in Denmark the same year with a total score of 8.66 ( composition. 8.48, riding: 8.78). His pedigree is very strong as well and includes an honours award winning father, Svartur fra Unalćk with almost a high a score as his son total: 8.54 and the honours award winning mother Glíma fra Laugarvatni, 1. prize winner and with five 1. prize winning offspring, the last three receiving a good second prize. Both Glimas parents are 1. prize winning horses and Svartur is son of the famous and honours award winning stallion Kjarval fra Sauđárkróki after the famous Hervar fra Sauđárkróki out of one of Icelands finest breeding mares Hrafnhetta fra Sauárkróki, She is again daugther of Icelands most influencial breeding mare ever (in my opinion), the beautiful black pinto Síđa fra Sauđárkróki. Fasta's father’s side, thus combine Sauđárkrókir and Laugarvatni lines in addition to the breeding champion Dreyri fra Álfsnesi, with more than 400 offspring, among them a number of beautiful horses.
Fasta's mothers side is not equally strong, but contains a number of good breeding mares with particularly good riding qualities from Hofi,. Fasta's mother Friđa fra Hofi is Hofi's best breeding mare, having produced several 1. prize winning offspring; some of which have been excellent competition horses as well. The pedigree also include Rós and Hóla-Brúnn and a number of beautiful palmino horses on the mother's father side, with Sleipnir fra Ásgeirsbrekku as the most famous one, having more than 180 offspring.
Many thanks to Jón and Elina that has bred Fasta and letting me buy half of her, keeping her at Hofi and letting me use her every second year for my breeding. I plan to take her to my fellow Norwegian Mette Mannseth's handsome stallion Hróđur fra Refsstöđum next spring and expect many interesting offspring from her in the years to come.
