My breeding partner Hannes bought a share in Aron frá Strandarhöfði, because he is a great individual and a strong breeder of both tölt and pace, that we wan’t to pass on to our offspring. Father (Odur) and grandfather (Stigur) as well as Nattfari and Vaka on the mothers side are all strong breeders of Gærdingur with 5 well separated good gaits with lots of speed in gaits. From BLUP it looks like Aron is a week breeder of conformation, however this is not our impression and we do think this will change when more offspring are being judged. This love conformation score is probably due to his father Odur that is known to be “not so pretty and throw medium conformation but amazing gaits. Aron’s highest judged offspring Oliver from Kvistum received 8.67 only 5 yrs old, and with more than twenty 1. prize offspring already-Aron proves to be an amazing breeder. Some of our best mares are brought to Aron, and so far the ½ year old Hervar under Hrund fra Arbæ seems to be the most promising offspring we have after him.
